Jolly Grant Airport is the nearest Airport to the valley. It is situated at a distance of 232 km. Harshil or Harsil is connected by motorable roads with Jolly Grant Airport. Taxis are available to Uttarkashi, Tehri, and Harsil. It is 78 km from Uttarkashi.
Here amazing producer Raj Kapoor had shot pieces of his super-hit film Ram Teri Ganga Maili. The town mailing station, which was highlighted in the film, remains here even today, business as usual about 40 a long time back! Circumvent the little settlement and hear the locals gladly review the film.
